About Linda

Born in Boston, MA., and raised in Fremont, CA., my family lived on a
farm and worked very hard for a living. My first experience with makeup
was at five years of age when I took my mothers red lipstick and painted my face, missing my lips completely. I can remember my mother never wore makeup, but there was an occasion when I saw my first transformation. All she did was her
eyebrows, lashes, rouge (old terminology), and a dark red lipstick. I was amazed at how great she looked, she was actually a beautiful woman.

As I recall I wasn't allowed to wear makeup, but I was invited to go with my parents to a
banquet I was 14 years old and my mother looked at me and knew I needed help, she
took me aside and put some makeup on me.

I certainly didn't consider myself pretty in fact I kind of thought I was homely, I know it sounds cruel, but all I saw was thick lips, big teeth and bushy eyebrows. I'll never forget the feeling I had when I looked in the mirror and saw a pretty girl
looking back at me.

This is the feeling I would like my clients to leave with. I've been doing
makeup for 27 years. The first lesson I had on makeup was reading a book
by the late Way Bandy one of the finest makeup artists ever. I've trained
as a Professional Make-up Artist and Color Analyst and received a
certificate from Bernice Kentner, Author of "Color Me A Season."

I've found that knowing colors and how it affects my clients has made my work easy and enjoyable. My education never ends I continue to train twice a year with makeup artists from all over the country and Europe.
